Current HR Trends Assignments

Students will complete 4 HR Trends Assignments through the term. These articles/cases will be posted on Moodle one week in advance of class.  Students are invited to read the case in advance of class, consider the questions, and discuss the questions as they relate to the case with an assigned group for 30 minutes. Students will then have 20 minutes to answer the questions posed about the case individually and submit their responses written by hand.

Recruitment & Selection Assignment

Students will choose an organization and role they are interested in and will complete an assignment evaluating the employer brand, job postings, values and recruitment process.

Course Participation

Course participation enhances the quality and vibrancy of the course and student learning. Participation will primarily be evaluated based on students interactions in class with the instructor and with their fellow students during group discussions. Data from student’s use of course materials on Moodle will also factor into assessing participation.

Final Project

Complete a report and present in the final class about a company that is doing something unique, new or different from a Human Resources perspective. Share what the current / or traditional practice has been and what the company is doing differently. Outline the companies process and the advantages and disadvantages of that approach.

NOTE: Grades are not final until vetted and approved by the Dean’s Office.
