Representative theological writings of Christians whose orientation and background is non-Western will be read and discussed, focusing primarily on Latin America, Africa and Asia.  For greater coherence, the course will focus on how Jesus Christ is perceived and interpreted by theologians in non-Western cultures.  In other words, we shall study some of the Christologies formulated and put in practice by Christian thinkers living and theologizing in the Third World (or Two-Thirds World, or the Global Southern World) who seek to witness to their faith in their respective cultural and societal contexts.
